Precision instrument panels for the U.S. Army's next-generation mixed-reality training system.
AITI designs and manufactures the precision instrument panels integrated into RVCT crew stations, shown on the left. Our panels replicate the exact look, feel, and functionality of instruments found in actual aircraft and vehicle cockpits, building muscle memory and operational confidence.
The RVCT simulates a wide range of critical military platforms, enabling combined arms training where ground and aviation crews operate together in a shared synthetic battlespace.
AITI was selected by NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center for three substantial programs on the Global Hawk — the largest and most sophisticated UAV in the world, with a range of over 11,000 NM, 30-hour endurance, and operating altitudes up to 60,000 feet.
We brought lightning strike detection, full weather radar, and traffic avoidance to the platform. Lightning and weather data are transmitted from the air vehicle to the ground station and displayed on a color moving map, giving Global Hawk pilots vital information to avoid dangerous convective activity during science missions over Atlantic and Gulf hurricanes.
World-class design, development, and production for military, commercial, and industrial applications.
High-fidelity instrument panels and control systems for aircraft and ground vehicle training simulators, replicating exact cockpit functionality.
Custom circuit design using Altium Designer, embedded systems, FPGA development, and power supply solutions for demanding military and aerospace environments.
Embedded software development in C/C++, FORTRAN, and OpenGL, powered by Claude Code. Real-time systems for avionics displays and control interfaces.
Multi-function LCD, TFEL, and plasma displays. Primary flight displays, engine instruments, and navigation systems.
Airframe design in SolidWorks, precision machining, and prototype fabrication with full in-house CNC capability and environmental testing.
AS9100 and ISO 9000 certified processes with rigorous inspection at every stage. Traceability, certificates of conformance, and NVG-compatible testing.
Short to medium production runs up to 1,000 units. Complete in-house manufacturing from prototype through delivery.
Fast-turn concept-to-prototype development with iterative design refinement and real-world testing validation.
Custom-designed control interfaces, backlighted panels, edge-lit displays, and ruggedized keyboards for harsh operating environments.
Breathing new life into proven cockpit designs with precision round LCD displays.
AITI has developed deep expertise in round LCD glass technology, enabling us to replicate legacy analog instruments with pixel-perfect digital displays. The result is an instrument that looks and feels identical to the original — but with modern interfaces, programmable faces, and dramatically lower lifecycle costs.
Our glass instruments accept the same form factor and mounting as the originals, making them drop-in replacements for aging cockpit hardware. Behind the bezel, high-resolution LCD panels driven by our embedded software render every needle, dial, and marking with precision that matches or exceeds the mechanical original.
This same technology opens the door to fully custom instrument faces — any scale, any layout, any application. If you can describe it, we can put it on glass.

Artificial intelligence isn't a future aspiration at AITI — it's a present-day competitive advantage woven into every facet of our operations.
AI-assisted design tools accelerate instrument panel development, optimize component layouts, and run rapid thermal and structural simulations.
Intelligent code generation, automated testing, and real-time anomaly detection in embedded systems. ML models validate avionics software against DO-178C standards.
Predictive models anticipate delivery schedules and flag potential disruptions. Intelligent demand forecasting maintains optimal inventory levels.
Automated invoice processing, expense categorization, and cash flow forecasting. Intelligent anomaly detection ensures compliance and financial visibility.
Computer vision and pattern recognition detect defects at resolutions beyond human capability, ensuring every instrument exceeds exacting standards.
Our AI systems learn and improve with every project, building institutional knowledge that makes each product better than the last.
AI Built
Our interactive glass instrument demos — altimeter, HSI, VSI, and more — were designed, coded, and tuned end-to-end with AI-assisted development. Every pixel-perfect dial face, every real-time rendering pipeline, every pointer rotation was built using the same AI-accelerated workflow we apply to production hardware.

Aviation Instrument Technologies was proud to exhibit at the 2025 Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) in Orlando, Florida — the world's largest modeling, simulation, and training event. Our team showcased our latest instrument panels, glass cockpit displays, and simulation training solutions to defense and industry leaders from around the globe.
AITI wrapped up deliveries of simulated flight instruments to Exail for the French AWACS airplane program. The delivery included Horizontal Situation Indicators (HSI) and Attitude Direction Indicators (ADI), precision-engineered to replicate the cockpit environment for high-fidelity simulation and training.
AITI continues delivering Flight Director Display Control Panels (FDDCP) for the Reconfigurable Virtual Collective Trainer (RVCT) program to ByLight. These high-fidelity Black Hawk cockpit panels are a key component of the U.S. Army's next-generation mixed-reality training system.
Aviation Instrument Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1997 to design, build, and supply aircraft instruments, radios, and multi-function displays used in commercial and government military flight simulators and actual aircraft.
Our 35,000+ square foot facility in Zephyrhills, Florida houses complete engineering, production, and R&D capabilities — from initial concept through prototype, qualification testing, and production delivery. We also maintain an air-side facility with a hangar at the Zephyrhills Municipal Airport (KZPH).
We maintain expert in-house machining capability, environmental testing equipment, and a technology-enabled campus with wireless connectivity throughout. Our commitment to quality is reflected in every instrument that leaves our facility.
