Aviation Instrument Technologies makes a broad range of electronic gizmos with cool looking machined enclosures, but the common thread that makes these instruments interact with their environment is the software embedded in them. The principals at AITI have deep history in the military simulation and training industry.
Flight simulators and maintenance simulators for every type of air land and sea vehicle have been a driving force in Embedded Systems development over the years, and the performance requirements for training systems are as stringent as for operational equipment. The software development capabilities at AITI extend across several families of embedded systems, from single chip microcontrollers like Atmel’s AVR family to PC104 systems to embedded PC compatible single board computers. AITI products can be specified with any standard interface to a host computer, such as Ethernet, RS232, RS485, RS422 or USB. Our systems have included high resolution a/d and d/a converters, MEMS accelerometers and rate gyros, and custom expanded input output capabilities for reading keyboards and driving indicator lamps and leds with programmable dimming capabilities. We have supplied systems with custom LCD glass and high contrast high voltage driver chips, systems with monochrome graphics displays, and color RGB TFT displays. We can write the software requirements and specifications, acceptance test procedure, user manuals, and write and debug the software using ANSI standard compilers and development tools.
We have done it all.
